Wednesday Rockford Aldermen Johnson, Beach and Jacobson will meet with Mayor Morrissey.

They'll be the first to review a document laying out the transferring of the Coronado's management from the city to RAVE.

"Will there be more efficiency? Will there be a reduction in subsidy and will they be able to book more shows because of the experience they have and national connections?" said 10th Ward Alderman Frank Beach.

Some city leaders asking if the way it's being run now isn't broken why fix it. "When the Coronado was renovated it was understood by all the investors, which meant a lot of the city of Rockford, that it would be our community arts performing arts center and I think that's still true today," said 3rd Ward Alderman Douglas Mark.

The future of those who work at the Coronado is also being questioned. City leaders faced with what will happen to Coronado employees if RAVE takes over. "As I understand it everyone that's working now will be offered a job to continue working that's not going to be a problem," said Alderman Beach.

New documents outlining how the Coronado will function and operate under RAVE's management will be brought forth during next week's city council meeting. City leaders are hoping to have a final decision by the end of the month.
