Fatal Freeport Car Accident

Christopher Hamer,23, of Baileyville was driving east bound on Florence road. Hamer's vehicle failed to stop at the t- intersection of Cranes Grove Road.

The car struck the field entrance and became airborne, the Toyota then rolled several times landing in the corn field. Hamer was pronounced dead on the scene. Stephenson County Sheriff's Department says speeding and alcohol are believed to have been contributing factors in the accident.
