School districts in Illinois are going to see some major cuts this year, but lawmakers hope to cushion the blow.

They're pushing for a bill that'll tax satellite TV providers.  The money raised from that tax would be used directly toward education.  It could be approved during the October veto session.

The cuts aren't the only issue school districts are facing, many are still waiting for payments from the state.
