Home Burglar Tries to flee with Bag of Copper

The burglary happened in the 2100 block of Ninth Street at 11:00 P.M. last night. Anthony Harrington, 42, of Rockford was taken into custody. He was caught stealing copper pipes from the basement of the home. Harrington came out of the side door of the house when police arrived. The condemned property was being repaired. Harrington is charged with residential burglary and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
