Rockford Woman Allegedly Stabs Man in Chest

Rockford - Police investigate a stabbing on the city's west side.

It happened on the 400 block of Jilson Ave. early this morning.  Police found a man with a stab wound to the chest.  His condition is unknown at this time, but he's being treated at a local hospital.

Witnesses saw a woman running from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black female, 5'4", 130 lbs with a ponytail.  She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with a denim skirt.
