Rockford - It takes eating a meal to help serve a meal.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank received a check for $15,000 from the "Best in Paradise" fundraiser, which is a burger eating and margarita drinking contest.

The money is enough to serve 90,000 meals to local residents who need it.  In Winnebago County alone, more than 50,000 people sleep at night with empty stomachs.
