Freeport - City leaders will call on a presidential candidate to help local workers keep their jobs.

The City Council voted unanimously to try and bring Mitt Romney (R) to town hoping he can save the jobs of nearly 200 Sensata Tech. workers being shipped overseas.

Romney is a former CEO of Bain Capital, Sensata's owners.

But, even though it's been years since Romney was a part of the company workers blame his business model for Sensata's problems.    "Hopefully, it means that we can start the change of how America does business and put forth the American people rather than the almighty dollar, the corporate greed that's out there" says Cheryl Randecker, an employee of Sensata.

Workers have been lobbying to bring Romney to Freeport for more than a month.
