July 25, 2012 (ROCKFORD) Gunite, which is owned by Accuride says its plant in Elkhart, Indiana will close by early next year.
Another Gunite plant in Brillion, Wisconsin will phase out its machining operation. That work will also come to Rockford.
But the company says it will not add jobs to the Rockford facility because the demand for truck parts is down nationwide.
