Rockford Public Schools Team Up With Discovery Channel

The Rockford Public Schools have teamed up with the Discovery Channel to help kick off their new school programs. The day of discovery boasted a way for parents, students and teachers to preview new additions to the schools curricula.

Adding some star power to the event Reed Timmer of Discovery Channel's "Storm Chasers" gave the keynote address and kick off festivities. The focus of the partnership is to help bring Rockford classroom into the 21^st century, using such concepts as digital media as learning tools.
