MUNCIE, Ind. --
College Sports Madness has selected Ball
State freshman guard Marcus
Posley as its Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Posley scored
a career-high 20 points Saturday in Ball
State's only game last week, helping
the Cardinals to their third straight victory with an 80-73 win at South Dakota. He handed
out five assists with just one turnover as Ball State
picked up its first road win this season.
The Rockford, Ill.,
product knocked down 6-of-10 shots from the floor, including 3-of-4 from
3-point range. He hit 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions during a key
stretch late in the second half that helped Ball State
secure the victory.
Posley, who
also grabbed four rebounds, was one of two Cardinals to reach the 20-point mark
in the game. Fellow guard Jesse
Berry scored a team-high 22 points.
