W. Michigan Picks Fleck 12/18/12

Kalamazoo, Michigan-Former NIU star P.J. Fleck will be trying to beat the Huskies from now on. Tuesday he was named the head coach of Western Michigan.  Western Michigan competes in the MAC West with NIU.

At age 32 he becomes the youngest head coach in major college football.

Fleck was a standout receiver for the Huskies from 1999-2002.  He has since been an assistant coach at Ohio State, NIU, and Rutgers. He is currently the receivers coach for the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fleck is a native of Sugar Grove, Illinois near DeKalb. He played high school football at Maple Park Kaneland.
