Pecatonica River Above Flood Stage

The National Weather Service says that the Pecatonica River level was at 14.1 ft at 10:30 A.M. and holding.  The flood stage is 13.0 ft.

A crest prediction is set at 14.3 ft. for Thursday evening.  Currently, moderate flooding of streets on the east and north end of Freeport could occur. 

If there is no more precipitation, the river will remain above flood level for at least seven days.
