USGS Collection of Data On Area Rivers Helpful In Flood Forecasting

Winnebago County, Illinois- Heavy rains can cause dramatic rises in water levels on area rivers. The United States Geological Survey collects data on the water levels on local rivers including the Rock, Kishwaukee, and Pecatonica. Jay Angel is a hydrologist with the United States Geological Survey.
