(Rockford, Illinois) A Rockford manufacturing company will play a major role in getting the Space Shuttle off the ground this weekend. Hamilton Sundstrand supplies several crucial parts to the Shuttle that is expected to fly back into space either Saturday or Sunday, weather permitting. The Shuttle will be making only the second flight since the Columbia tragedy that killed 7 astronauts occurred. Steve Tollefson is the Engineering Manager for Human Space Systems at Hamilton Sundstrand and he says he`ll be watching the Shuttle lift off this weekend and adds, "I never get tired of watching the Shuttle fly. We have several parts on the flight. This is where all the hard work pays off." The Space Shuttle is expected to stay in orbit for 12 days and dock with the International Space Station and deliver needed supplies.
