President Bush Arrives in Chicago

Chicago, Illinois- Air Force One descended into Chicago and touched down at OHare Airport around 6:15 p.m. Thursday. President Bush stepped off the plane and waved to the crowd of spectators and media. Then in an unusual move, the president came over to shake hands. There was a sign posted saying "Happy Birthday Mr. President." He turned 60 Thursday. After the short meet and greet, President Bush took off in Marine One for his trip downtown. He was on his way to dinner with Mayor Daley. That was the last of his Thursday events. The highlight of Friday`s events is a press conference. It will be the first major press conference since the president`s surprise visit to Iraq in mid June.
