Flu Shots To-Go

Beloit, Wisconsin- A Stateline hospital is taking a new twist on an old convenience. Beloit Memorial Hospital is making getting a flu shot as easy as getting a cheeseburger. At their Occupational Health and Sports Medicine Center they have created a quick fix for anyone who`s ever had to wait in line for a flu shot. It is as simple as: pull up, fill out some paperwork and pay $30. Then one by one, cars drive into the garage where Cindy Groves waits to give them a quick shot. "We thought, well, why not use the garage for drive-thrus. So we had to come up with a plan to see how it would work. We thought it would be great for people on the go, on their break at work and the elderly who have a hard time getting in and out of their vehicles." Beloit Memorial does not think it will have the drive-thru shots again this season, but so far they are planning to do them again next year.
