DCFS Could Suffer Major Funding Cuts

The Dept. of Children and Family Services is expected to take a near $30 million hit once the state's proposed budget goes through.

As a result, they'll have to layoff 375 workers.  But, representatives say they won't be easy, since they're already operating understaffed.

If Quinn signs the budget as-is, the cuts will go into effect July 1.
