Rockford, Illinois-18 year old Cynthia Bounleutay was going for her fifth straight Girls Golf Classic Championship Monday at Ingersoll.  But standing in her way was a younger lady who might one day surpass Bounleutay's streak.

12 year old Madasyn Pettersen edged Bounleutay by one stroke.  Pettersen shot a 73. Bounleutay shot a 74.

"It's the most amazing thing in the whole world," said Pettersen to WTVO following her victory.  "You know this has been my goal for a long time.  Cynthia is such a solid player.  She's so hard to beat, and just this year things went my way. The past few years haven't, and this year I just woke up and decided to play well, so it was a really fund day."
