Chicago, Illinois-The Fighting Illini needed more than a buzzer-beater to beat Indiana Friday.  A  lot more.

The Hoosiers rolled the Illini 80-64 in the quarterfinals. Indiana dominated the first half buidling up a 14 point lead at intermission behind a strong pressure defense.

The Illini played better in the second half, but the damage had been done. The Illini were outrebounded 33-20. They shot only 34.5% from the field again due to Indiana's outstanding defense.

Brandon Paul and Tracy Abrams each scored 16 points for the Illini. Center cody Zeller led the Hoosiers with 24 points and nine rebounds.

The Hoosiers advance to play Wisconsin on the semifinals Saturday. The Illini bow out with a record of 22-12.
