IceHogs Out Of Playoff Race 4/9/12

By: Scott Leber
Updated: April 9, 2012
Rockford, Illinois-One weekend in Cleveland has dashed the IceHogs hopes of making the AHL Playoffs.  Their two losses to the Lake Erie Monsters has eliminated them from postseason play.

The Hogs miss the playoffs for the second consecutive season.  And their drought without a playoff win gets extended.  Their last playoff win was four years ago in the '07-08 season.

So the Hogs three games this final week of the regular season are meaningless.  They'll play all three at home.  Tuesday they'll host Charlotte.  Friday they'll host Milwaukee.  Saturday they'll host Charlotte again.

Expect to see the young amateurs get more playing time.......Connor Goggin, Mark McNeill, Terry Broadhurst and Phillip Danault.  Alexander Salak should also see action in goal.
