Chicago, Illinois-The Blackhawks top prospects are on the ice this week in Chicago for a prospect camp, but it's the veterans who hold the key to next season for the franchise.

Following one of the scrimmages this week head coach Joel Quenneville told the media that he still believes in the core of his team despite their first round playoff exit in April.

"I think we've got some great pieces," said Quenneville.  Our core, we have an extensive core of top guys.  We feel there is enough internal competition to put a top team on the ice."

Quenneville rattled off all the forwards who can form different combinations on the ice.  But the key to the team might be goalie Corey Crawford.  Can he bounce back from a disappointing season?

"I'm very comfortable and confident with Corey," said Quenneville.  We're expecting Corey to bounce back and recapture that consistency in his game and be a top goalie."
