Rockford, Illinois-Former IceHogs Coach Bill Peters is back in Rockford this week.  He's the guest coach of a select summer youth camp at the River View IceHouse.

Kids from all over Northern Illinois are at the camp sharpening their skills.

Peters was the IceHogs Head Coach for three seasons before leaving last year to become an assistant coach with the Detroit Red Wings.

Peters tells WTVO that he enjoyed his first season in Detroit.  "It was very enjoyable.  A great experience.  It's good to get that first year in the NHL under your belt, and it'll be better moving forward.  Last year we didn't like or finish, but for the most part it was good."
