O'Toole Gaining Confidence 9/18/12

Champaign, Illinois-Fighting Illini quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase says his ankle is feeling better. But he's still a question mark for the Illini's game this Saturday against Louisiana Tech.

If he can't go, the Illini are feeling a whole lot better about turning to his backup again Reilly O'Toole. He had a record-setting day last Saturday against Charleston Southern.  He completed 26 of 31 passes for 333 yards and five touchdowns.

O'Toole says that performance has boosted his confidence. "Every time you play you gain confidence. I think I gained a lot of confidence even against ASU (Arizona State) even though it didn't go as well as hoped," said O'Toole. "Obviously the first start you're going to get more and more confident."
