Falcons Release NIU's Turner 3/1/13

Rockford, Illinois-Former NIU running back Michael Turner will look for a new team for next season. Friday morning he was released by the Falcons in a salary cap move. The move will save the Falcons $6.4 million.

Turner rushed for 800 yards and ten touchdowns last season while splitting time with second year running back Jacquizz Rodgers.

In his career Turner has rushed for 7,338 yards and 66 touchdowns. He's been named to two Pro Bowl teams.
