Rockford, Illinois-Jefferson will play Tuesday night in the 4A DeKalb Sectional against Elgin Larkin.
The J-Hawks are coming off a narrow win over rival East last Friday in the Regional Championship game at East.

The J-Hawks got out of the gate slow in NIC-10 play this season. They lost their first three games. But now they're one of only two NIC-10 teams still alive in the post season. The J-Hawks have momentum and confidence heading into DeKalb.

"Our confidence is high," says senior guard Jared Mayes. "That's where it needs to be. You start off the season slow, but it's not where you start it's where you finish. So defintely we're confident."

"Lately we've been finding a way to win," says Jefferson coach Todd Brannan. "People have probably accepted their roles a little bit better, and maybe we've got a little bit of luck coming our way."
