Eastland Finishes 4th 3/9/13

Peoria, Ilinois-So close yet so far. That describes Eastland's weekend at the 1A State Basketball Tournament.

The Cougars lost by one point in Friday's semifinal game with Madison. Saturday they lost by two points in the consolation game to Nokomis 44-42 when Nokomis nailed a jump shot with less than a second remaining.

Dalton Shaner scored 29 points Saturday for the Cougars. They finish the season with a 30-5 record and a fourth place finish in the State.
