Peoria, Illinois-The Lutheran Crusaders didn't get the biggest trophy this weekend in Peoria, but they did make school history.  They finished in third place to eclipse the fourth place finish of the 1994 Lutheran team.

Saturday night the Crusaders bounced back from their heart-breaking semifinal loss to win the consolation game 55-51 over Seton Academy.  Sophomore Thomas Kopelman tied the State Finals record by connecting on eight three-point shots.  He added a pair of free throws to finish with 26 points.

WTVO was the only Rockford TV station at the game Saturday evening to gather post-game reaction.
