Rockford - The Auburn Knights have plenty to be proud of these days, from success on the basketball court to the scholastic bowl.

Both teams made their respective state tournaments.  The basketball squad hopes to continue their success with a victory over Proviso East in the 4A State semi-final matchup.  If they win that, they'll get a shot at the state championship.

That's why school administrators ended the school day early, to give students time to drive down to Peoria where the tournament is being held, so they can cheer on their Knights.  The game starts tonight at 6:30.  You can watch it on our sister station MyNetworkTV, that's channel 17.2 on your digital receiver or Comcast channel 16.
