Semi Truck Kills Worker on Interstate 39

(Paw Paw) -- A worker dies on Interstate 39 Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a semi truck.

Police say a man working for the Illinois Department of Transportation was replacing a pavement weather sensor when a semi truck ignored construction warning signs.

The accident happened in the northbound lanes near Paw Paw, IL, around noon.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.  Police are expected to file charges against the driver of the semi.
