Bears Preseason Schedule Out 4/4/12

LAKE FOREST, IL -- The Chicago Bears announced their opponents and weekends for the 2012 preseason today.

Chicago's preseason schedule begins with back-to-back home games versus the Denver Broncos (Aug. 9-12) and Washington Redskins (Aug. 16-19). The Bears conclude with a nationally-televised tilt at the New York Giants on Friday, August 24th at 7:00 pm CST on CBS and at the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, August 30 at a time to be determined. Exact dates and times for the Bears home contests will be announced at a later date.

The Bears preseason contests versus Denver, Washington and Cleveland will be produced and broadcast by the Chicago Bears Network in high definition. Each game will be shown live on WFLD-TV in Chicago and stations throughout the Midwest. All four games will be broadcast on WBBM Radio (780 AM and 105.9 FM) with Jeff Joniak (play-by-play), Tom Thayer (color analyst) and Zach Zaidman (sideline reporter).

The Bears will host the Broncos in the preseason for the first time since 2003 when they battled in Champaign. The two teams squared off in the 2009 preseason in Denver. Chicago will be traveling to East Rutherford, NJ to battle the Giants in the preseason for the second consecutive year. The Bears and Redskins will square off in the preseason for the first time since 1976, while Chicago and Cleveland will close their respective preseason schedules against one another for the ninth year in a row.
