Rockford, Illinois-Rockford basketball standout Isaiah Box is transferring from Christian Life to East High School.  Box made his intentions known Saturday night in a personal tweet stating, "I am happy to say I will be going to EAST next year.  Ready for the season to get started."

Box confirmed his intentions to WTVO Sunday in a phone interview.

"I'm really excited about going to play in the NIC-10," said Box.  "I think that is the best option for me.  I'm excited there's going to be big crowds, and I just can't wait. I can't wait to get stuff started."

Box says his family will finalize the paper work for the transfer Monday morning.  East Coach Roy Sackmaster tells WTVO that once that is completed Box will be able to participate on East's team immediately Monday night at the Harlem Summer League Tournament.

Last season as a junior at Christian Life Box averaged more than 21 points and almost eight assists per game.  Box's family lives in East's School Zone.  Box says he was once a water boy for East's Varsity Basketball Team when he was in middle school.

Box's older brothers Joel and Jeremiah and his sister Lydia were also standout basketball players at Christian Life.
