Emenecker To Coach Rockford Christian 6/5/12

Rockford, Illinois-The final major coaching position in high school sports in Rockford for the next school year has been filled.  Trent Emenecker is the new head boys varsity basketball coach at Rockford Christian.

Emenecker has been the JV boys basketball coach at the school for the past two seasons.  Before that he spent one year as the head men's basketball coach at Division III North Central University in Minneapolis.  He also spent ten years as a head coach at two high schools in Tucson, Arizona.

Emenecker is a Rockford native.  He's 42 years old.  He graduated from Christian Life High School in 1987.

He takes over a program that finished third in the state in 2010 and a program that won 23 games last season under former coach Shane Bautch.
