Rockford Woman Charged with Mudering her Baby

Tina Lamonica, age 37 of Rockford was arrested Satuday in Machesney Park. Police have been searching for her since January 18th. That's when detectives responded to Rockford Memorial Hospital for a baby's death investigation.

 

After an autopsy by the Winnebago County Coroners Office officials concluded the seven day old child had died from maternal cocaine use and pre-mature death.

 

On May 17th, 2012, the facts of the investigation were reviewed by the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office. The State's Attorney's Office has charged LaMonica with First Degree Murder with the bond set at $1,000,000.000.
