(Rockford, Illinois) Local home health care workers and the disabled join forces to protest possible funding cuts by Governor Pat Quinn. Many people count on home health care for basic needs and health issues, and some say if Quinn's cuts go through they'll be forced into a nursing home against their will. Members of the Service Employee International Union, which represents many of those health care workers held a press conference today at Rockford's Booker Washington Center to protest those possible cuts. Some believe that many disabled Stateline residents who count on help from the workers will end up losing their aids. And if that happens they won't be able to take care of themselves and will have no choices but to enter a nursing home .
