The pilots of Allegiant Air want to unionize and they're asking the International Brotherhood of Teamsters to make it happen.

An election is expected to happen within six weeks.  The move comes after nearly 400 pilots said they want to join a union.

The airline says they support unionization, since it will maintain what they call an open dialogue with their pilots.  Allegiant's flight attendants already joined a union two years ago making them the first group in the airline's history to open a union shop.
