Pump Problems: Byron Nuclear Power Plant Shuts Down Reactor

The plant closed down the Unit 2 reactor Wednesday night to work on a problem with the main generator's cooling pump.

The generator is on the non nuclear side of the plant. Unit 1 continues to work at full power while operators investigate the pump problem,
