(Atlanta, GA) -- A Louisiana man has been arrested for allegedly taking minors from Atlanta to Birmingham, Alabama for prostitution.
A federal grand jury last week indicted Dmarcus Ward of Minden, Louisiana on charges of sex trafficking of minors and transporting them for the purposes of prostitution.
The 25-year-old Ward is accused of taking two underage women to Birmingham and back to Atlanta late last year.
Federal prosecutor Sally Quillian Yates says the Justice Department is committed to aggressively prosecuting anyone who exploits children through sex trafficking.
