Chef's Corner - Dutch Apple Pie

Dutch Apple Pie
Ingredients:
7-10 cored, peeled and sliced apples (use Granny Smith and McIntosh for best results)
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cloves
1/2 of a lemon juiced
1/4 lb of melted butter
Directions:
  1. In a bowl mix 7-10 cored, peeled and sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, lemon juice, and melted butter.
  2. Place in a 9" pie shell.
For Crumb Crust:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of flour
1/4 lb of butter
Directions:
  1. Mix together flour and sugar.
  2. Cut butter into mixture using a fork or pastry blender.
  3. Sprinkle over top of pie.
  4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  5. Cover pie with foil or another empty pie tin bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Take off and bake for 20-25 more minutes.
