Chef's Corner - Dutch Apple Pie

Dutch Apple Pie
Ingredients:
7-10 cored, peeled and sliced apples (use Granny Smith and McIntosh for best results)
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cloves
1/2 of a lemon juiced
1/4 lb of melted butter
Directions:
- In a bowl mix 7-10 cored, peeled and sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, lemon juice, and melted butter.
- Place in a 9" pie shell.
For Crumb Crust:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of flour
1/4 lb of butter
Directions:
- Mix together flour and sugar.
- Cut butter into mixture using a fork or pastry blender.
- Sprinkle over top of pie.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cover pie with foil or another empty pie tin bake for 20 minutes.
- Take off and bake for 20-25 more minutes.
