Lutheran Earns Trip To State 3/6/12

DeKalb, Illinois-For the first time since 1994 the Lutheran boys basketball team is headed to State. The Crusaders were in peak form Tuesday at the 2A NIU Super-Sectional. They routed Minonk Fieldcrest 72-46.
Freshman Nate Wieting led the Crusaders with 23 points. Derek Seyller scores 16 points.
The Saders led by eight points at halftime. They added to that cushion in the third quarter by outscoring Fieldcrest 18-11.
Lutheran will play in the 2A Semifinals Friday at 6:30 in Peoria against Normal University High School.
