Romney Names Ryan as Running Mate

Mitt Romney has named Wisconsin Rep.Paul Ryan to be his running mate on the Republican presidential ticket.

The announcement came via Romney's campaign early Saturday morning.

Romney himself will be making the official announcement during a stop at the USS Wisconsin in Norfolk, Va., this morning.

"U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan is in his seventh term in Congress representing Wisconsin's First Congressional District. He is Chairman of the House Budget Committee, where he has worked tirelessly leading the effort to reign in federal spending and increase accountability to taxpayers," according to a biography released by the Romney campaign.
