UPDATE: Crews Respond to a Small Plane Crash in Rockford

RFD Officals say the single engine plane called into the airport requesting assistance. The plane was headed to RFD from Poplar Grove. Both the passenger and pilot onboard escaped the incident without serious injuries.
It took emergency crews only three minutes to respond to the scene. The FAA is investigating what caused the crash.
