Rockford Couple Leaves Generous Gift

Former Rockford residents Dr. Louis and Violet Rubin leave behind $15 million dollars to help enhance the community.
The bequest will go toward areas of human services, general education, medical education, and medical research.
Dr. Rubin was the first board certified dermatologist in Rockford. Violet Rubin was a homemaker and active community volunteer.
