While WTVO News crews were outside the BP Gas Station Wednesday talking with CeaseFire representatives about three people who have been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Dwayne Buchanan Jr, someone who happened to be in the area approached WTVO crews and said they had seen Russell Jefferson, one of the suspects still at-large, at the BP station just an hour before our crews arrived there.

WTVO then exclusively obtained a surveillance tape that shows a man, who our source believes to be 24-year-old Russell Jefferson entering the BP Gas Station on Auburn Street on Wednesday around 5 p.m.

That is the same spot that Jefferson is charged with shooting and killing Buchanan Jr. just three months ago.

One person, 25-year-old Martell Buckley, is already in custody for Buchanan Jr's murder.  Still, two more people, 24-year-old Russell Jefferson and 22-year-old Rico Jefferson have yet to be caught.

"Russell and Rico Jefferson are currently wanted for first degree murder and various weapons offenses," said Rockford Police Department Lieutenant Marc Welsh.  "They are brothers, we believe they are still in the Rockford area, we have no information indicating they left the Rockford area, and if located they should be considered armed and dangerous."

Both Russell and Rico Jefferson are known gang members.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 815-963-7867.
