Joliet - In just the second day of jury deliberations, former Bolingbrook police officer Drew Peterson is found guilty in the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
"Finally someone heard Kathleen's cry" says Marcia Savio, Kathleen's mother. "12 people did the right thing thank God. Now we're going to go see Kitty and let her know much we love her and that she won today. It's her victory."
Kathleen's brother, Nick Savio, still emotional from the trial had one message for his sister's killer, "I don't see you laughing now. So, why don't you go to your clown defense team who made fun of this whole trial and go have a cigar with them while you rot in jail for the rest of your damn life."
The 58 year-old Peterson did not react when the verdict was read. Savio's family hugged each other and cried as soon as they heard the verdict.
Peterson faces up to 60 years in prison. He'll be sentenced in November.
