Rockford - With the troops still serving overseas, many of them won't be home in time for the holidays.
That's why the women of the Sinnissippi Quilt Guild are hard at work to bring the holidays to them. The group is on a mission to sew 1,500 stockings by November so they can reach the troops in time.
Right now, they're at 550. "It is very important that we let our troops know that we are behind them" says Becky Harvey, one of the guild's organizers. "Not only are we making Christmas stockings, but we are trying to stuff them with things also like soaps or candy."
