The second annual Screw City Beer Festival took over state and main streets this afternoon, especially drawing breweries from the region. More than 2000 people tasted craft beers and took advantage of the nice weather.
Screw
City Beer Festival Founder Aaron Sleger says those who attend the fest
typically end up eating at area restaurants "it ends at 6 P.M. it's about
dinner time. They flood to local restaurants. Last year we had some great
comments from area restaurants owners last year about how the crowd down here
really boosted their night, their weekend."
Designated drivers got in free and were served unlimited root beer and water. The festival will be held again next year and organizers hope to make it even more successful.
