Jack McCullough Trial Begins

Maria Ridulph, 7, was abducted while playing with a friend in December 1957. Her body was discovered months later near Galena, IL. Suspect Jack D. McCullough, 72, was 17 years old at the time and lived near Ridulph's home. New evidence allowed police to charge him with the crime. He was arrested last year in Seattle and brought to Illinois. He has pleaded not guilty. It's one of the nation's oldest cold cases.
