Rockford, Illinois- Alex Reece grew up in Elgin and Belvidere, then graduated from Keith Country Day. He joined the Marines and is currently in his second tour of duty in Afghanistan. His parents, Sharon and Phil share his story.

before somebody says that your lying and bashing a Marine. I am LCPL Alex Reece. i am just correcting an error on the broadcast and the comment since i do not want recognition for something i did not do. they said that i have served 2 tours in afghanistan, i have not. my first deployment was a non combat deployment to the pacific my second deployment was a tour in afghanistan. i wish i could have corrected this earlier but i was still deployed when this was posted.
