ROCKFORD - Less than one day after his capture, suspected killer Kody Walsh is back in Winnebago County to face murder charges in connection with the  death of 36-year-old Lori Daniels.

Kody Walsh's extradition hearing Tuesday morning was brief, but it paved the way for him to immediately be brought back to Winnebago County to face murder charges.

Walsh appeared before a judge in Shelby County Tennessee Tuesday Morning.

After Walsh waived his extradition rights, the Shelby County District Attorney's Officer dropped it's charges against Walsh.  He was then placed in the custody of the Illinois State Police and a Winnebago County sheriff's deputy.

Walsh arrived to the Winnebago County jail shortly after 5 Tuesday evening.

"The Shelby County District Attorney Generals Office dismissed their charges at this time, which did clear the way for Mr. Walsh to be returned to this jurisdiction," said Winnebago County State's Attorney Joe Bruscato.

Walsh will be in court Wednesday afternoon for a bond hearing.  He's charged with two counts of first degree murder.  If convicted he faces 45 years to life in prison
