Jacksonville, Illinois-Salley Wessels finished 17th Thursday after the final round of the Illinois State Senior Women's Golf Championship.
Wessels shot a 78, by far her best round of the event. She finished with a 252 total for three rounds. Judy Englund of Rockford finished 86th with a 295. Dorothy Powell of Rockford withdrew from the final round.
The winner was Luara Carson of Lake Bluff with a 225 total.
